Changes to Ergon Performance Security Requirements

SPA as an active member of the UDIAQ have been working as part of a UDIAQ sub-committee to achieve a positive change Ergon's administration of Performance Securities. As a result of the work of the UDIAQ and direct pressure from Developers, Ergon are changing the Performance Security requirements.

Telstra makes big changes in anticipation of the NBN rollout

Telstra's response to the Federal Government's proposed National Broadband Network rollout is to only provide conduits and pits free of charge. The provision of the optical fibre is a new cost that must be met by developers.

SPA Consulting Engineers open Townsville Office

From May 2010, SPA Consulting Engineers will have an office in Townsville. Initially staffed by engineer Brooke Veliscek, the office is expected to expand to meet the needs of the Townsville market.

The office will be centrally  located on Ross River Road, Aitkenvale to provide service to our valued Townsville clients. Contact the Townsville Office.

   

Submission to the Australian Energy Regulator

On the 14th of May 2007, SPA Consulting Engineers (QLD) Pty Ltd lodged a submission with the Australian Energy Regulator (AER) to bring to the attention of the AER issues affecting the land development industry.

If the issues raised in our submission are accepted and addressed by the AER, Distribution Network Service Providers (DNSP's) such as Ergon Energy and Energex will be required to:

Ergon CICW Underground Subdivision Design

The implementation of the 2007 Ergon Energy process "UDC Process" was not without some teething issues, however the process is running relatively smoothly and projects are flowing through the process reasonably.

SPA has grown to meet the increased requirements of the new process and we now have 9 staff to service projects across all Ergon Energy Regions
